WHY VOLUNTEER?
Volunteering for The Salvation Army means you can make a difference — not just in the lives of others, but in your own life journey as well. While the time volunteers dedicate help us to fulfill our commitment of providing support to those in need, many volunteers also find meaning for themselves in giving back, learning new skills and building connections in their community. The Salvation Army Williams Lake ministry unit has many volunteer opportunities available for those wanting to partner with us in serving the Williams Lake Community:
- Helping in our breakfast and lunch programs
- Serving a meal
- Sorting donations in our food bank
- Helping in our Share Shelf
- Leading a craft or activity in our Drop-In Center
- Supporting the coffee bar/canteen in the Drop-In Centre
- Sorting and processing donations at the Thrift Store
- Emergency Disaster Services
- CHRISTMAS KETTLES – please contact sarahl.jackman@salvationarmy.ca
If you are interested in volunteering with The Salvation Army Williams Lake Ministry please contact Community Ministries Director Tamara Robinson (tamara.robinson@salvationarmy.ca). Volunteer hours are flexible according to your schedule.
